honeyp.ai for Jira & Confluence
- honeyp.ai checks each signup to your product and flags fake accounts, bot farms and abusive signups.
- With Atlassian connected, the follow-up work lands in Jira as issues: support tickets, signup reviews, and (optionally) spike alerts.
- Comments and status changes sync both ways, and a Confluence overview page can be kept up to date on a schedule.
What is honeyp.ai?
honeyp.ai is a signup-abuse detection service. A small snippet and an API call check each new signup against dozens of signals — disposable email, bot and automation tells, networks and devices seen before, velocity — and return a decision your product can act on. It's built so companies can catch the farm, not the fan: stop coordinated abuse without getting in real users' way. Learn more on the honeyp.ai home page and in the docs.
How the Atlassian integration works
Support tickets → Jira issues
When a customer opens a support ticket, honeyp.ai creates a Jira issue in your chosen project with the summary and a link back.
Signup reviews → Jira issues
When a signup needs a human look, the review becomes an issue your team can approve or reject without leaving Jira.
Two-way updates
A comment or status change on the Jira issue is added back to the ticket or review in honeyp.ai, and the other way around.
Confluence overview
Optional: honeyp.ai keeps a Confluence page updated on a schedule with a summary of what it caught, so the wider team has a read-only view.
How to connect it
From your honeyp.ai dashboard, open Integrations → Connect with Atlassian and authorise access. You pick the Jira project (and Confluence space, if you want the overview); you can change or disconnect it any time. (You'll need a honeyp.ai account — apply for access if you don't have one yet.)
Permissions and data
honeyp.ai asks Atlassian only for what it needs to create and update the issues above in the project you choose (and to update the Confluence page, if enabled): it creates issues, adds comments, and reads issue status to keep the two sides in sync. Access tokens are stored encrypted, and you can revoke access from honeyp.ai or from Atlassian at any time. honeyp.ai never sells data or shares your users' personal data with third parties; see our privacy notice and security page.
